Why I became a broker

Not someone to hand them a product. Someone to sit with them, understand their situation and say: here's what I think, and here's why.
I became a broker because I wanted to be that person.
I love finance. I love people. I love property. I love business.

How I got here
I have a Bachelor of Commerce and spent years in accounting and finance before I made the jump into business ownership.
I owned two fitness studios for several years. It was one of the best and hardest things I've ever done.
Running a small business teaches you things no degree can. I managed payroll, navigated business loans, dealt with banks and made financial decisions under real pressure with real consequences.
I also learned what it feels like to sit across the table from someone who doesn't really understand your situation and is just trying to move you through a process.
That experience changed how I work with clients. I know what it's like to be the person asking the questions. I know how important it is to actually get a straight answer.

Meet Our Founder
Outside of work
I live in Brisbane with my husband and four kids. Life is full, loud and pretty wonderful.
I understand the mental load that comes with running a household, managing finances and trying to make good decisions for your family's future, often with limited time and approximately zero headspace left over.
That's exactly who I built LoanBird for. Because I am her.
What you can expect from me
Straight answers. Clear explanations. No jargon.
I'll tell you what I think, even if it's not what you were hoping to hear. If now isn't the right time, I'll say so. If your current loan is actually fine, I'll say that too.
My job is to give you clarity. Not to sell you a product.
And one more thing worth knowing: I don't charge a fee for my service. I'm paid by the lender. You don't get charged any extra for that.

I'm Jayne. Mortgage broker, former accountant, mum of four, fitness studio owner, and someone who genuinely loves helping people get clear on their money.
I love what I do. I also live it. Four kids, a busy household, big decisions to make and not enough hours in the day. I understand you because I've been in your shoes.
I don't take lightly the trust my clients place in me. Your finances are personal. You deserve someone who treats them that way.
